Being at the peak of a UFC division comes with various theories and attacks from the MMA community. Islam Makhachev previously faced accusations of drug use as his former opponent, Bobby Green, talked about it in an interview after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s prodigy won the title from Charles Oliveira. Although there isn’t any solid proof to support the accusation, many professional fighters have opined to Green’s theory.

Recently, Sean Strickland took to Instagram and shared the video on his IG story. Surprisingly, he claimed that ‘King’ was, in fact, not wrong. Furthermore, Dan Hooker recently accused Makhachev of using IV fluids during UFC 284. Without a doubt, Joe Rogan had a lot to say about the accusations in his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

Sean Strickland agrees with Bobby Green’s theory about Islam Makhachev

After Makhachev’s victory over ‘Do Bronx’, Green accused the newly appointed lightweight champion of using drugs. During a press conference, he said, “I was f**king around with my YouTube, right, and I found this little video, and it said Islam had a little trouble with drugs. But I don’t see people talking about him. And so, he was saying when he first came over that his school that he trained at in Russia, they just gave him vitamins, you know.”

Furthermore, he revealed that the US and Russia were different in such cases. While the Russians try to enhance the fighters’ strength and make them more manly, the scenario in the US was a bit different. He further claimed that it might be the reason why Dagestanis were on a winning streak in the world of MMA.

Surprisingly, ‘Tarzan’ seemed to agree with what Green said. He recently took to the comments section of the Instagram post and wrote, “He ain’t wrong lol.” Additionally, Strickland re-shared the video on his IG story and captioned, “Hes crazy but he ain’t wrong lol!!”

Joe Rogan on Dan Hooker’s comments about Makhachev

In episode #1946 of JRE, the beloved UFC color commentator addressed Hooker’s comments about Makhachev. ‘Hangman’ previously claimed that the lightweight champion used IV fluids during his fight against Alexander Volkanovski. Undeniably, the UFC commentator found the issue to be illegal.

The JRE host said, “Yeah, it’s illegal. It’s part of USADA because you could mask PEDs with an IV.” However, he refused to believe the accusations till he found some concrete evidence. Rogan said, “But I don’t know whether or not he [Makhachev] actually (did it). They say that they caught him, they say they know. But I haven’t seen anything yet. So until then, I don’t know.”
