Before the fans had the chance to settle down, the fight was already over. ‘Atomic’ Menifield took less than a couple of minutes to knock the lights off his opponent. Further, this knockout loss might have put the curtails down on the Canadian fighter’s MMA career.
What happened in the fight?
Alonzo Menifield entered the Octagon as the favorite, and rightly so because of his thunderous knockout punches. The American even entered the bout as a favorite on the betting cards. While the future looked bright for the ‘Atomic’, Misha Cirkunov is in the twilight years of his career.
As soon as the bell rang, Menifield looked strong and brought a good combination of punches. However, it took him only a couple of minutes to put his opponent on the mat with a thunderous and brutal punch.

The brutal knockout blew away the combat sports fans. While some pointed out the brutal nature of the knockout, some were worried about the career-defining loss of the Canadian fighter.
