Dana white’s new sports business has landed in fresh trouble. Power slap league is a priority project for Dana white. The sport now has come under heavy criticism from Sports doctor Brian Sutterer. The doctor has talked about safety issues related to slap-fighting in a video on his YouTube channel, Brian Sutterer MD. According to him, it’s “perhaps the most absurd and senseless sport in the world.”
He was also not happy with the Nevada Athletic committee for approving slap-fighting. He said “I don’t think any commission should be backing slap-fighting,” Dr. Sutterer pointed out how the No defense allowed format of slap-fighting rendered it utterly dangerous for participants. “What do we always say here in combat sports, whether it’s boxing, mixed martial arts, or whatever? It’s ‘protect yourself at all times.” He further added.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dana White backing a dangerous sport?
The current format of the sport involves two players standing against each other across a table. Each player takes a hit on the other until one of them collapses. The players are not allowed to block or dodge opposing slaps.

Dr. Sutterer then said, “Fighters, while they’re trying to inflict damage on one another and you might say the injuries that are possible in mixed martial arts are worse looking than the injuries in slap fighting, in slap fighting, there is no defense. You literally are not allowed to protect yourself. And so what you get is basically just two people trading concussive blows for one another.”
Dana White had recently talked about how he was ready with TV deals and other details and was about to roll out the sport. The sport that has roots in Russia and Poland has got immense possibilities for social media formats because of the short action-packed format.

Schwarzenegger and White see business in slaps
Dr. Stutter also agreed to the fact that as a business, slap-fighting had potential and people would love to watch the sport. He, however, has raised genuine concerns over the safety of athletes. This further might create problems for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s beloved venture becoming a mainstream sport.
