The owl tattoo

Amanda Nunes has a beautiful owl tattoo on her left arm. She got the tattoo back in 2017. An owl tattoo can mean several things like wisdom, hope and also femininity, and fertility. With so many interpretations, it might be difficult to deduce what the tattoo personally means to Nunes. However, Nunes is a UFC fighter and there is a chance that her owl tattoo represents hope, strength, and courage.

Nunes surely shows all these qualities. It is a beautiful tattoo. However, fans would be curious to know what Nunes had in mind while getting it done.

Anna Lara tattoo

Just above the owl tattoo, there is another tattoo that reads ‘Anna Lara’. Anna Lara is Nunes’ niece and the fighter sure does love her niece a lot.

This is one personal tattoo on Nunes’ body, but it is not the only personal tattoo. ‘The Lioness’ has another tattoo dedicated to someone extremely special.

Key tattoo

Amanda Nunes has a key tattoo on her left forearm whereas her wife Nina Nunes has a lock tattoo on her right forearm. This is one interesting tattoo with a deep meaning.

Nunes got the tattoo on Valentine’s day. It is a tribute to her love for her wife. When the pair holds hands, it is pretty evident what the tattoo means.

The lioness

This is perhaps the most well-known of all tattoos Nunes has. On her upper back, she has the portrait of half of her face mixed with that of a lioness. This tattoo also has Nunes’ name and nickname inscribed, plus two symbols on either side.

Nunes definitely has the strength and bravery of a lioness. Hence, this is a tattoo that describes her personality really well.

200 and 232

Amanda Nunes has had many fights in her career. However, there are some moments she would never want to forget. Her fights against Miesha Tate at UFC 200 and Cris Cyborg at UFC 232 were incredible and fans still can’t stop talking about them.

Nunes was happy with the outcome of those fights because those were some tough opponents. However, she succeeded in submitting Tate and delivering a powerful knockout to Cyborg. Hence, as a memory of these fights, she got the numbers ‘200’ and ‘232’ tattooed on her arm, just below the owl. Incidentally, these were the two fights in which she attained belts.

Armor Shield

Amanda Nunes has a large armor shield covering her right upper sleeve. It is by far the biggest tattoo she has. The armor has beautiful, intricate detailing all over. However, this tattoo was, in fact, a cover-up of the previous ninja ribbon on her arm.

Nunes is not just a professional fighter. She also possesses the spirit of one. Thus, the tattoo of an armor shield is fitting.
