In the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan hosted actor and stand-up comedian Duncan Trussell. The UFC commentator kicked things off by discussing Kimmel and Musk.
Joe Rogan on Jimmy Kimmel’s criticism of Elon Musk
During their conversation in episode 1891, Rogan brought up Jimmy Kimmel’s recent tweet bashing Elon Musk. “Why does he care? What is he mad about?” asked Rogan.
Trussell said that Musk was planning to relax Twitter’s censorship policies. Therefore, Trussell said, Musk angered many people, including Kimmel. He added the idea that Twitter seemed moderated to suit left-wing politics kept these people happy.

Rogan later clarified that Kimmel’s tweet was actually in response to another tweet from Musk, which he later deleted.
“That was a tweet where it’s like this Santa Monica Observer or something like that was tweeting something about the Paul Pelosi attack. And that Santa Monica Observer has been known to tweet things that aren’t correct. Or at least publish things that aren’t correct… I think what Elon tweeted was that there’s a tiny chance we might not be getting the full story. Then he tweeted the full story.”
The Paul Pelosi attack incident has also been a topic of controversy on Twitter. Different versions of what happened have come out after the incident. It seems Musk tweeted and deleted something that may have been factually inaccurate.

Rogan added that what Musk wanted to bring to Twitter was a reasonable exchange of ideas. The pair agreed that the idea was important. Rogan also observed how rare it was that someone was wealthy enough to do what Musk did to support the idea.
