Will Smith Beware: ‘Now It’s His Turn’ – Chris Rock Ready to Fire Back Before Oscars 2023

Almost a year later, the Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars incident garners reactions from the UFC world. Smith set off a huge controversy when he walked on stage and slapped the host, Chris Rock, after the latter made a joke about Smith’s wife. The 54-year-old actor had to face fire from all directions after his actions on one of the biggest stages of the world.

Now, as the Oscars approach yet again, former UFC star Brendan Schaub has a warning for Will Smith. A stand-up comic himself, Schaub had a few reminders for Smith about facing the wrath of a comic.

In a recent video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Schaub sat down with Bryan Callen for an hour-long chat. During their conversation, they stumbled upon the upcoming Academy Awards Ceremony and the controversy from the previous year.

In a promo for the same conversations, Schaub shared a snippet from the chat on his Instagram. The subject of the snippet was the Chris Rock-Will Smith beef. In his comedy special, Rock went after the Academy Award-winning actor and his wife for the events of 2022.

Schaub said, “I wonder how Will Smith feels now because, Will, you had your time. You embarrassed Chris Rock and now he’s taking, what? Over a year?” He continued, “Because the Oscars are this weekend… So you had your time and Chris didn’t say much. Just took it on the chin. Literally took it on the chin But now you’ve f***ed with a comic. So now it’s his turn.  But think about it. He’s been working in the f***ing kitchen, getting the sauce ready.”

While Schaub seems to have enjoyed Rock’s digs at Smith and is warning him about more, another combat sports star has a different sentiment towards Rock.

BJJ star Gordon Ryan slams Chris Rock

BJJ world champion Gordon Ryan recently went after Chris Rock on his social media. Rock’s latest Netflix special has been getting attention for his digs on figures like Will Smith and Meghan Markle. However, Ryan did not agree that Rock’s choice of revenge.

Ryan shared a post about the Netflix special on his IG story and wrote, “You can make all the jokes you want. You still got smacked in the mouth by a grown man and did nothing about it.”

The response is not surprising, considering Ryan’s aggressive persona on and off the mats. The grappling sensation is also a trash talker who gives it as good as he gets it.
