The Power Slap never saw a day without getting embroiled in a controversy. The newly touted combat sport since its announcement by UFC Dana White found itself amidst criticism and public scrutiny. Further, the debate surrounding the adverse effect on athletes also gained traction among fans. The competition which is yet to solidify its existence as a combat sport engulfed in another controversy as a fighter got slapped with a ban. However, the competition’s ingenuity to attract the eyeballs remains unaffected and finds itself making inroads into prominent fighters’ consciences. Similarly, Dana White‘s brainchild also found an admirer in the UFC legend, Din Thomas.

Notably, the American fighter recently took to his Instagram handle as he disclosed watching the Power Slap. In addition, the 46-year-old drew a parallel with another famous slap that shook the world in the previous year on a prominent stage of the Oscars. The MMA fighter-turned-actor significantly poked fun at the aggressor on that fateful night, Will Smith.

The 26-9-1 record holder pointed out the knockouts that he witnesses in Power Slap. The slow-motion knockouts that capture the wobbling cheeks and the falling athletes remain the focal point of appeal.

Thus, he wrote, “After seeing all these dudes get knocked out in Power Slap, Will Smith got to be embarrassed.

‘The Fresh Prince’ markedly slapped the comedian Chris Rock after the latter made remarks about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. This incident at the 94th Academy Awards took the internet by storm and also made waves in the UFC.

Joe Rogan experiences a change of heart at the Will Smith slap incident

The UFC color commentator in his earlier stances had criticized the 54-year-old and later on adopted a softer stance.

In the recent shift, the famed TV presenter believed Smith was a human being and one must forgive him. The deep remorse of the American rapper formed the basis of this shift in Rogan‘s stance.
