The world of combat sports is an enthralling one. Here, the course of a match can change drastically within a few seconds. The high energy and super exciting aspect of combat sports also fetch it a lot of fans from all over the world. Sometimes, fans are also subjected to unfair match-making in combat sports when one of the parties showcases utter domination over the other. We have seen a lot of such bouts over time.

Recently, a similar kind of video was shared by the MMA-covering Instagram page of the noted sports media giant, ESPN. The video features two combatants in a grappling showdown. One of them was no match for the other. He also made his adversary tap with a rear-naked choke after a brief stint of dominating him. It visibly enthralled the fans as they vented their opinion about this post with their comments.

The users displayed a volley of opinions in the comments section of this post. ESPN MMA captioned their Instagram upload, HE GOT FOLDED”. It may be agreed that they did a good job with the caption.

One user provided an interesting name for this technique. He wrote, “Mans went for the omelette flip”. 

Another user drew a comparison writing, “Folded like a lawn chair”.

Another viewer picked out that the surname of the dominating grappler was ‘Magomedov’ which is generally a Russian surname. Also, most of the Russians in the UFC are known for their stupendous ground control. Hence, the user replied, “Zero surprise his last name is Magomedov.”

Another user accredited the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sensation, Gordon Ryan, for making ESPN cover BJJ as well. He wrote, “BJJ on ESPN ? Gotta admit @gordonlovesjiujitsu had a lot to do with this w the transition to ufc”.

A user also commented, “How embarrassing. I would have to find a whole different gym”. He had apparently realized the humiliation that the losing combatant might have to go through.

The destruction of the lazy fighter satisfied a lot of viewers

A number of users viewed the defeated combatant as a lazy one. They implied that he could have done a lot more to save himself from getting into that position. One such user commented, “Dude just sat there and didn’t move the entire time”. The criticizing tone was apparent in his words.

One more user carried on with the same tone and wrote, “Nothing more satisfying than seeing a bu*t scooter get destroyed”.

Another fan mocked him saying, “Good, that’s what he gets for pulling guard lol”.

One user also posted a hilarious comment as he compared this situation to the ones in virtual gaming. He wrote, “Bros controller disconnected”. Understandably, the inactivity of the losing combatant triggered this comment from the user.

Also, some other fans were also happy about the fact that ESPN was providing updates on BJJ through ESPN MMA.
