“Dana White Fumbled the UFC 300 Super Bowl Announcement” – UFC CEO Faces the Wrath of Disappointed Fans

Kansas City Chiefs fans were ecstatic over their 2024 Super Bowl win (25-22). However, an important UFC 300 announcement was rumored to take place at the Super Bowl but didn’t happen. The main event for UFC 300 is still unknown and fans aren’t happy with Dana White. This has led people to wonder if the promotion has been unable to negotiate with prominent names to fight in April.
White’s recent revelation was that the main event was still being worked on. “Who knows who’s going to be the UFC 300 headliner… It’s been interesting, I can tell you that,” he told reporters on Friday.
“Obviously, we want to deliver. I keep saying this: (Deiveson) Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt is literally the first fight of the night. So when you look at the card how it sits today, every single (fight) could be a main event on a Fight Night or a pay-per-view. We’re just waiting for that last one. We’ve got two more fights we have to put together. We’re working on it.”

Currently, UFC 300 doesn’t have a confirmed main event. However, Jon Jones recently revealed that he was approached by the promotion to fight in April. Unfortunately for ‘Bones’, this was just too soon. As reported by ‘Submission Radio’, he gave his blessings to interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall but maintained that he’d first like to fight Stipe Miocic to tie up that loose end.
Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya‘s coach took to his Instagram stories to let the world know that they were “begging” the UFC to let ‘Stylebender’ save UFC 300 by being the main event fight. Is it possible that White may have taken up the opportunity? It is difficult to tell anything right now. As a result, fight fans took to X to share their frustration.

UFC 300 main event no-show from Dana White causes unrest among fans!
UFC 300 was so hyped that perhaps fans became over-involved with the main event. Usually, when White keeps a fight from everyone, the fandom can handle it rather well. However, the promises built behind this one not coming in on time are likely what upset everyone. Prominent MMA journalist, Chamatkar Sandhu, used an apt Roman Reigns reference to explain people’s frustration.

Many MMA fans are awaiting his comeback against Michael Chandler. Now, with so many rumors about the UFC 300 main event and McGregor’s return going around but still no confirmation, it seems fans have reached their limits.

Regardless, the majority of the fans were disappointed.
UFC 300 takes place on April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and already has some huge names on the main card. Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway will fight for the BMF title, and Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan will clash for the strawweight title. Further, many fans are hyped about Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan and Kayla Harrison vs. Holly Holm. With such big names on the main card, the main event ought to be an exciting matchup.

In fact, the promotion had ended its partnership with ‘Modelo’ for a multi-year deal with ‘Bud Light’. Now, while all that is alright, where is the UFC 300 main event? Only the UFC CEO can answer.
