AI-generated podcasts have emerged as a legitimate and increasingly popular form of content in recent years. People are now tuning in to these podcasts with the same enthusiasm as they do to traditional ones. This trend has caught the attention of renowned podcaster Joe Rogan, who has addressed it on multiple occasions. However, Rogan’s response has been alarming, as he sees the advancement of AI podcasts as a potential threat.
Interestingly, the popularity of AI podcasts has also led to legal battles. The famed UFC commentator tried to sue an AI podcast, but failed.
However, NFL legend Tom Brady has recently taken strict action against the creators of his AI-generated podcast. Two comedians, Will Sasso and Chad Kultgen, who run the ‘Dudesy’ podcast, are now facing legal trouble due to their AI-simulated podcast featuring impressions of a future Hall of Famer quarterback. Brady’s legal team has responded by taking a legal route against them.

After Joe Rogan, Tom Brady slaps legal warning to AI podcast
During their latest podcast, the hosts of ‘Dudesy’, Chad Kultgen and Will Sasso, revealed that they had received a cease-and-desist letter from attorneys demanding that their hour-long AI-simulated special featuring Tom Brady be taken down. The letter warned that failure to comply could result in a lawsuit.
The comic duo did not take the issue lightly and took down the AI-generated content as a result. It was revealed during the podcast that the AI-generated Brady impression had made jokes on rather controversial topics surrounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback.

Kultgen and Sasso read the notice on their recent podcast and discussed the claims made against them. As reported by The Verge, the letter stated, “Mr. Brady will not allow Dudesy to exploit his publicity rights for Mr. Sasso’s and Mr. Kultgen’s personal financial gain — especially when Mr. Sasso and Mr. Kultgen have presented Mr. Brady’s likeness in connection with highly offensive and defamatory material.”
It seems that the use of AI in podcasting is both a blessing and a curse. While it offers new avenues for creativity and innovation, it also raises concerns about the future of human employment and intellectual property.
