Conor McGregor loves a good fight.’The Notorious’ has been involved in skirmishes outside the Octagon, time and again. The fighter recently expressed his will to join a brawl between Wales and England football fans. The Irishman, however, deleted his comment later. England and Wales are yet to play a match in the ongoing FIFA world cup.

Conor McGregor is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. The Irish brat made news for attacking Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team bus in Ireland before their fight in UFC 229. He has also been involved in a pre-fight scuffle with Eddie Alvarez. UFC president Dana White had to intervene, and he had to manhandle McGregor to keep things under control.
After a video surfaced showing England and Wales fans tangled in a full-fledged fight, McGregor kept himself away and expressed his feelings in a comment on the video. He wrote, “Coach, put me in”. He later deleted his comment. England and Wales are set to play against each other on Tuesday in Qatar.
Conor McGregor didn’t choose a side
The brawl between fans came after England and Wales were both placed in a precarious situation in the qualifying rounds. While the USA has pegged star-studded England back as they played out a goalless draw. Wales are yet to win a match and are placed in 4th place in the same group with a draw and a loss. While Ireland has not qualified for the FIFA world cup, fans asked McGregor which side would he fight for in the brawl?

McGregor didn’t offer any response to the fans. The Irish fighter has been away from fighting for a while now, but his comments show that his heart aches for an intense fight.

McGregor scratching his fighting itch on social media?
Conor McGregor has been picking out fights on social media off-late. He recently went on a tirade against UFC Commentator Joe Rogan for his commentary during Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov fight. He has also called out Nurmagomedov and his team numerous times on Twitter.

Fans have been waiting to watch a Conor McGregor fight for a long time now. He last fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. He suffered a leg injury in a losing cause and has been working on his fitness. Mystic Mac is eyeing a return in 2023, but the USADA testing pool and tests will keep him off for at least 6 months.
The good news is that Conor McGregor has announced that he is ready for testing in February 2023.
