In his most recent endeavor, ‘The Eagle’ graced his Instagram handle with a narrative, wherein he unveiled a moment from the illustrious career of David Beckham. He shared a David Beckham Instagram post, in which Beckham engaged in an interview for a documentary centered around his life.

Within this particular post, he recollected the pivotal juncture when he expertly netted a goal that propelled England to a resounding victory in the match and advanced them to the 2002 soccer World Cup finals. This was all the more special to Beckham as he had redeemed himself of his mistake at the 1998 World Cup. The English star had received a red card in their group stage game against Argentina in the 1998 tournament.

The team would later lose the match on penalties, and be knocked out of the tournament. Beckham became the pariah for his dismissal at a crucial stage. Khabib Nurmagomedov, ever so well-versed in his football history, understood how much the 2002 moment meant to Beckham and shared a message for the ex-Real Madrid star.

Nurmgomedov reshared the post on his story and added a sweet admiration for Beckham. He captioned the story in Russian which read “Every athlete has a moment that he cannot miss. These moments are called And this is not given to everyone. shine at the right moment”

He further added “Last goal minutes of the match, when the country came to terms with the fact that they would watch the World Cup. This video shows the moment when one person drags the entire country to the World Cup. And what football means for England is a different story”.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s love for soccer

Khabib Nurmagomedov was not only a legend in the UFC but also held a passionate love for his childhood game soccer. Born and raised in Dagestan, his early years were steeped in the nuances of the beautiful game.
