Brock Lesnar to Bellator? Massive Interest Shown by Bellator President Scott Coker

The fight that every MMA fan from the 2000s wanted to see might be a possibility now. Back in the day, Brock Lesnar was the guy to fight. When Lesnar was the UFC heavyweight champion and MMA’s biggest draw, Fedor Emelianenko, was also becoming popular in North America.

There were possibilities of a clash between Lesnar and Emelianenko. It would have been one of the biggest heavyweight super-fights in the history of MMA.

But the UFC and Emelianenko failed to come to terms, and Emelianenko signed Affliction and then Strikeforce. He then retired but made a comeback to Bellator. Meanwhile, Lesnar had his run with the UFC and then transitioned to WWE, where he was equally successful.

Will Brock Lesnar head to Bellator?

Earlier, news surfaced about Brock Lesnar’s free agency. The news claimed that Lesnar had failed to reach an agreement with WWE. This means that Lesnar is free to go anywhere. Even Bellator!

If he desires, Lesnar can once again take up fighting in MMA for the right price. But what are the chances of him moving to Bellator and taking on Emelianenko?

“Asked Bellator President Scott Coker if he has an interest in Brock Lesnar, and he replied: “Yes if he’s truly available. Fedor vs. Brock is interesting. It’s the fight that never happened!”

Deemed as the fight that never happened, there is a probability of it coming to life now. Better late than never! Though there are still a lot of obstacles and hurdles to jump before making anything official, the Bellator president showing interest is a great sign.
