“I’m Ready for November” – Conor McGregor Announces Massive News for UFC Fans

Conor McGregor is ready to return to professional fighting The former UFC double champ dropped a massive update on Twitter where he let his fans know that he is looking to step inside the octagon before this year draws to a close.
McGregor had an open conversation with UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier on Twitter just a few days ago. ‘The Notorious One’ expressed his interest in a boxing event with Poirier in December. The earnings from the fight would go to charity and there would be no involvement of the UFC in it.
After the news broke, the UFC looked to capitalize on what could be a massive pairing between the two. Dana White, in a recent interview with Barstool Sports, confirmed that contracts have been sent to both the parties. Conor McGregor took to Twitter a little while ago and announced that he had accepted the fight offer.

UFC 255 was scheduled for November 21. Fans expected a flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Cody Garbrandt to headline the card. However, following a torn bicep for Garbrandt, the UFC removed him and replaced him with Alex Perez.

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor have come a long way from their first fight
McGregor and Poirier fought each other at UFC 178 as featherweights. McGregor’s forward pressure seemed too much to handle for Poirier. ‘The Diamond’ succumbed to a left hook from the fighter who would later win UFC featherweight gold.

After the fight, Poirier moved up to 155-pounds. In the bigger weight class, he performed much better, eventually winning the interim belt. Though he came short against Khabib Nurmagomedov, he rebounded from the loss with a win over Dan Hooker earlier this year.
On the other hand, McGregor returned to the octagon in January following a fifteen months hiatus from the sport. Later on, he shocked everyone in June by announcing his retirement. However, just like many of his fans expected, McGregor is very close to breaking the retirement once again.
