UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is reportedly back on the mats. According to MMA reporter Chisanga Malata, the Dagestani has resumed training.
Khabib will defend his title against the Interim Lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje, in his next bout.
Even though the two originally agreed to scrap in September, Khabib had to withdraw from the timeline due to an unfortunate series of events. His father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, passed away mere weeks ago after a long battle against health complications.

The devastated Nurmagomedov broke his silence after the incident less than a week ago, wherein he paid a tribute to his father.
