It is often a mystery that makes fans curious about how Jackie Chan got his real name. The story behind this is rather a unique one.?The Drunken Master?received it during his stint in Australia, and the name struck gold. From there, he continued himself under this moniker.?

It became an unusual story when Chan worked at a construction site in Australia. In his autobiography,?“I Am Jackie Chan”,?the famous actor decoded the scenes behind earning the name.?
The journey of Chan Kong-sang to Jackie Chan
The name stuck with him during the 1970s while working at a construction site in Australia. A fellow employee named Jack became a telling influence for him both on and off the site. Chan said, “It didn?t take much for him to realize that Kong-sang was not a name Australian construction workers would get an easy grip on. ?Aw, hell, his name?s Jack, too.”

From being ‘Little Jack’, it eventually led to a smooth evolution to the name Jackie. The rest, as they say, is history. To Chinese audiences, he is known as “Cheng Long,” a professional stage name he used. Jackie rose after the untimely passing of another martial arts legend?Bruce Lee?as he fit the role of an able depute. Since then, he evolved into a successful actor with a?net worth?of $400 million.?

What was Bruce Lee’s real name?
Similar to Jackie Chan, the legendary martial artist Bruce Lee had a different name. Just like Chang Kong-sang evolved into Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee had a Chinese?name. Bruce?s parents gave him the name ?Jun Fan.? The English name, BRUCE, was given to the baby boy by a nurse in the Jackson Street Hospital, although he was never to use this name until he entered secondary school and began his study of the English language.
A unique transition between the two personalities is very much evident. Fans knew Bruce Lee as the ‘Little Dragon’ while Cheng Long translated to ‘becoming the dragon.’ Capitalizing on the sudden trends, Jackie Chan pushed himself to become a global icon. It is just legendary how he became the perfect incarnation of Bruce Lee. Both these legends deserve respect for their dedication to their craft.?
