And this was not all, as the star wanted to do more. Chan frequently visited children’s hospitals to distract them for a moment from their pain. The martial artist wrote,?“One time, I was invited to East Timor on a peacekeeping mission. Two of their tribes were at war with each other.”?At first, he didn’t understand his point of visiting and how he could contribute to an impending war. But only when an officer told him,?“Well, if you don?t come, we?ll never find out,”?he was ready to give it a chance. Chan went there and tried to work as a medium between the two tribes. Although nothing happened instantly, after six months, the actor learned from the prime minister that the?“fight was over.”

When Chan learned a lesson

While discussing his ‘giving’ personality in his book, Chan shared an anecdote about his visit to an awe-stricken place. It was Yushu in 2010, and the people there faced a terrible earthquake. As soon as the actor heard about the catastrophe, he rushed there on his private jet, bringing food and other things with him. But soon, he found out, the whole thing was in process, and the army was still searching for survivors. The place was in chaos, and Chan’s presence only hindered the procedure as they tried to greet him and treat him in the best way.

Then the Chinese actor felt embarrassed, and from then on, he decided not to be impulsive and wait for a certain time to help victims with proper necessities.
