Even at the age of 35, Shaun White inspired younger generations to take up the sport of snowboarding. Not only that, he is a wealthy snowboarder making millions with his dedication to his craft. A career spanning nearly two decades, White’s influence in the extreme sports picture is out of this world. Be it snowboarding or skateboarding, he performs remarkably well. Hence, it is disheartening to not see him on the circuit going forward.

After retiring from the sport, he returned home to attend the Super Bowl while having some down time with his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. But, are there chances of him making a comeback?

Will Shaun White return to snowboarding?

Equivalent to Tony Hawk in terms of fame and glory, White is the godfather of snowboarding. The 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics stand-out put on an epic final run in the half-pipe competition to win his third gold medal.

Even during the qualifying competition of the men’s half-pipe event, we saw him come back from defeat. After failing in his first run, he produced a dramatic second run to rank fourth in qualifying at the Beijing Winter Olympics. With these intangibles in his bag, he dropped a hint about what could possibly be next for him.

It would be massive for White and the entire sport if White makes comeback. Despite being 35, he has the tools to perform flawless tricks. And with three Olympic gold medals in his bag, doubting White would be misguided. However, that is just ‘Shaun White’ being Shaun White. He is entirely at peace with his retirement and added his thoughts on the matter.

“No, I feel great about it. Really feel fortunate. I spoke to a lot of athletic friends of mine and I’m so thankful that I got to choose when I wanted to walk out and how I got to do it, enjoy every little moment until that day. So, I feel very fortunate about that.”
