The legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger has been sharing useful and easy-to-implement fitness and bodybuilding knowledge with his fans for the past few months. And the Austrian Oak continues to do so through his daily newsletter, ‘The Pump Daily’. In the latest edition of his newsletter, he talks about a better alternative to testosterone, the billion-dollar hoax, and what is a real fat burner. In this article, we will focus on the second point Schwarzenegger mentioned. What is a billion-dollar hoax? 

According to Arnold, the at-home testing of food allergies and sensitivity is a massive business. However, the shocking thing is most Americans follow these inaccurate tests, which are not even recommended by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. So what is the alternate solution for that? As a solution, Arnold shared “the free method” with his subscribers, which neither needs a blood test nor money. Let us find out more about the method.  

Arnold questions the at-home food sensitivity test reliability

Food allergies and sensitivities are common problems that anyone might go through. However, identifying the respective food and inhibiting it at the right time is a challenge. Although most people prefer an at-home food sensitivity test like the IgG test, the most common test for identifying allergies. But according to Arnold, unfortunately, it is not a reliable way to go. Why so? In the newsletter, Arnold reveals that these tests don’t work as it has been told.

He said so because the elevated IgG is not necessarily a sign of allergy, but it might also be elevated because “your body is good at processing particular foods, meaning you might be removing certain foods for no good reason.” Moreover, the bodybuilding legend also disclosed that the “inaccuracy of these tests is serious enough that The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology recommends against IgG testing for diagnosing food allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities.”

Moreover, it needs no blood test and no expenditure of money. He advised, “If you’re worried that something isn’t working for you, save your money and try the free method: an elimination test.

He continued, “Remove a food that you’re worried about for two weeks, and see how you feel. Then, add it back after the break, and see if anything changes.” However, there are a few points that have to be considered in this test. The primary point is that one shouldn’t remove many foods at a time, as it will hinder the result, and the particular food wouldn’t be identified.
