Well aware of being under watch, in the interview, she shared how she curtailed her teen lifestyle to secure her father’s image.

When Arnold Schwarzenegger made his entry into the politics
Katherine was 13 when the Austrian Oak was first elected as the Governor of California in 2003. In the interview, she shared that being the Governor’s daughter, “..it’s a totally different amount of pressure put on you to be perfect.” Besides, she is the eldest kid in the Schwarzenegger-Shriver household.
Katherine recounted the sudden onset of change in her life from being an actor’s kid to a political daughter. She shared how conscious she was of her activities while stating, “It could have ruined my father’s career if I was caught drunk driving or something like that.”

Until Katherine went to college, she didn’t realize the impact of ‘Schwarzenegger’ in her name. She had to deal with a myriad of issues every day due to her last name. “I am hyperconscious about it,” she explained.

While girls didn’t bother her much but boys quickly started a conversation “about my dad and weight lifting or how to do a proper bicep curl.” She would wonder whether they wanted to date her father or her. “Like, I can arrange that for you,” she joked.
