“I’ve Made Some Mistakes”: Big Ramy Apologized to IFBB Pro President After Setting a Bad Example as One of the Ambassadors of Bodybuilding Earlier This Year

Mr. Olympia is the biggest title in the bodybuilding world. And once attained, the bodybuilder gets inked into the list of legendary bodybuilders and the face of the sport. Similarly, Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay is the reigning and two-time consecutive Mr. Olympia winner.
But earlier this year, Ramy got into some bad headlines when he missed a Pittsburgh Pro. Moreover, he was about to be the headliner alongside his other massive competitors like Brandon Curry, Hunter Labrada, etc. However, after realizing his mistake, Big Ramy didn’t hesitate to apologize publically with a video on his Instagram timeline.

Big Ramy apologizes for not attending the Pittsburgh Pro 2022
The bodybuilding world and the supporters of the sport were extremely sad by Big Ramy’s absence in the Pittsburgh Pro 2022. In his absence, Derek Lunsford took his place and made a strong headline with his contribution. Ramy looked grim and upset at not being present on the show.

He said, “I know I’ve been absent for a while now and I would like to explain to you all what’s been happening. First, I would like to apologize to Mr. Jim Manion and the IFBB Pro League for not coming to the Pittsburgh Pro. Due to personal reasons that I can’t go into details about, I can’t fly to Pittsburgh. Nothing hurts me more than I know… I missed that event. I let many people down.”

Mamdouh Elssbiay aka Big Ramy will be competing this time for making it three in a row. Ramy dominated the previous two Mr. Olympia competitions. However, it is predicted that the 2022 Mr. Olympia will be one of the most interesting competitions to witness. As there are many close contenders for the title.
Other than Ramy, other bodybuilders to look out for will be Brandon Curry, Nick Walker, Derek Lunsford, Hunter Labrada, Blessing Awodibu, Hadi Choopman, etc.

Big Ramy faced massive backlashes after he didn’t show up in the Pittsburgh Pro 2022. People even questioned if he can be an ambassador for the sport. However, Ramy came openly and apologized to the President as well as the bodybuilding fans. On the other hand, it will be interesting to watch him perform in the most awaited Mr. Olympia.
