Ronnie Coleman is a legendary bodybuilder. He won eight consecutive Mr. Olympia titles from 1998 to 2005. But before becoming the legendary bodybuilder, Coleman did many jobs after graduation. Like in a bank and then in Domino’s Pizza. Although, the job that changed his future was in the Police department. He worked for the police department from 1989 to 2003.
Even after winning the Mr. Olympia titles, he did not leave his police job. He kept working there for the extra perks, financial security, and his passion and determination towards the department.

Ronnie Coleman willingly made many sacrifices to follow what he loved
From his college time only, he sacrificed many things, like partying with friends, drinking, and other things, as he wanted to achieve his goal of getting graduated. Ronnie said, “When you wanna be the best, you ain’t going to be the best if you don’t make any sacrifices.”

Ronnie further added, “There were so many sacrifices I had to make there you know, keeping myself straight, keep staying out of trouble, not doing some of the things I wanted to do like hanging out at these clubs late at night, drinking and partying and all that kind stuff I couldn’t do all of that because you know like I said I was trying to be a good example but those are the sacrifices I was willing to make because I was doing what I truly loved doing and that’s working for the police department so I had that passion and that determination so I had to make those sacrifices.”
Coleman did not only become a good bodybuilder, he became the king of the sport. Many regard him as the GOAT of bodybuilding. And many aspiring bodybuilders have his posters on their walls as he is their idol.
Legends are the product of determination and sacrifices
There was never a legend who became one with no determination towards their goal. In addition, there was never a legend who didn’t sacrifice during the journey to becoming one. These are the two most common ingredients of becoming the greatest.
