The weekend just went by, and the blues started hitting everyone, as they often do. One person who is always dedicated to helping people alleviate such issues every week is none other than bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 7X Mr. Olympia recently tackled a rather common issue about feeling lethargic in bed. In their day-to-day work life, several people find it difficult to get out of bed and get to work on some days. Schwarzenegger has a way to motivate such people.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back with his newsletter this week. And this time, amidst other topics, he discussed what constantly drives him to get up and start working out. He shared his motivation to keep going, for people to follow in his footsteps.

Schwarzenegger wrote in his newsletter ‘Arnold’s Pump Club’, “Even when I feel like crap and sleep a little longer, by 6 am, the sun is coming through my window, and the animals are screaming to be fed, so I can’t let them down”. The 75-year-old has turned his love and care for his pet animals into a positive reason for him to wake up early and start his day afresh. It was like turning a responsibility into the reason for a good lifestyle.

Schwarzenegger also mentioned in the Jimmy Kimmel show once, how his donkeys are the reason he wakes up early. But why is this discussion taking place in his newsletter now? This is because it’s Monday and as the Monday blues started hitting everyone, Schwarzenegger made a section in his column titled, “Monday Motivation with Arnold”.

The bodybuilder explained that if someone doesn’t feel like getting out of bed, his motivation won’t help them much. But instead, they should start finding a reason, as he did with his animals, for getting up.

Schwarzenegger urges everyone to desperately find something they love doing

He wrote, “I think you need to show your mind and your body that you are in control and you need a reason to try”. This is exactly where he cites the example of his animals. Arnold Schwarzenegger therefore, directly questions his readers if there is someone, “animals, friends, or anyone” who might be a bright light at the end of the tunnel for them. With the tunnel resembling their long gloomy road of lethargy in bed.

Eventually, the bodybuilder acknowledges that this might not be an easy task to do overnight. This is why he urges everyone to take it slow, find a purpose and stick to it. After all, the reason to get up has to be enjoyed, which will train their body and mind to completely cut off the lethargic feeling and sprint up every morning. This way, the Austrian Oak continues to inspire people with his newsletter, which has already changed many lives so far.
