Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw are two of the best strongman contenders in deadlifting. In the video resurfaced by SBM WSM on Instagram, we can see their high-intensity determination, and self-belief. The video was captioned, “We like big weights and we cannot lie 😏.” After the Canadian strongman, JF Caron failed to lift 981 lbs, the 6’3″ tall British strongman Eddie Hall entered to lift the same weight. However, he seemed more confident and focused on the lift he was about to make.

Although his legs shivered a bit and his face revealed the power used behind the lift, with all his strength, Hall successfully lifted 981 lbs. But what did the legendary strongman Brian Shaw do after that? Shaw decided to lift the same weight instead of increasing it. And as Hall stood there waiting for the result of Shaw’s lift, the more confident, the more pumped up, Shaw went on to the center and deadlifted 981 lbs to tie with Hall.
