“Wash Clothes, Wash the Dishes”: 8X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman Described an Average Day in His Life Back in 2005

8X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman is considered one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. Coleman competed in his last Mr. Olympia in 2007, whereas he won his eighth and final title in 2005. As an ex-police officer and an athlete, discipline has always been a part of Ronnie’s life. It’s reflected in the routine he shared during a 2005 interview.

Many people would love to know what an average day looked like in that phase of his life. In that interview, Ronnie described it vividly.

Many might assume that a legendary sportsperson must have tons of different tasks to perform each day. But that is not exactly how it is. General days are pretty ordinary in their lives as well. Legendary bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman described his average days as non-exciting.

Ronnie said“My days are not that exciting; there are no business projects I’m currently working on. Normally my days are filled with answering e-mails and mailing photos and other things to fans who request them. I always watch my favorite TV show every morning, The Price Is Right.”

Coleman added, “I’m a single guy who lives alone so I tend to clean up around my house from time to time, I wash clothes, wash the dishes, sweep and mop the floors. A lot of my time is spent eating and driving to eat, not including the workout”.

Ronnie Coleman once opened up about his initial dreams in the Joe Rogan podcast. He revealed he never wanted to be a bodybuilder, but a footballer. He had had an interest in American Football since his school days. However, the journey wasn’t an easy one. It was a combination of fate and hard work that brought him to this point.

Surprisingly, Ronnie participated in his first Mr. Olympia just to get free membership in the gym. In addition, it was after winning his first Mr. Olympia title in 1998 that he looked up seriously to being a professional bodybuilder.
