MetLife Stadium was buzzing this Sunday. The most-awaited game took place between the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. But some shocking turn of events took place. On Sunday Night Football, the Jets beat the Eagles 20-14 for the first time in history. With this, it looks like the Eagles’ winning streak is long over now.
Amidst all the drama that took place, the spotlight was on a quarterback. With post-match comments flooding in, one of them made its mark. Shannon Sharpe, as per usual, had something to say. As it turns out, what he stated about the quarterback is “obvious.” The primary target of Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s criticism seems to be Jalen Hurts.

Former NFL player Shannon Sharpe is known for his commentary and dynamic way of presenting sports news. His Podcast, Club Shay Shay is your one-spot destination for news that cross-cuts pop culture world, and sports. But this time, Sharpe has taken to his Twitter account to express ‘Hurts’ over the game. This time he has eyes on Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ star quarterback.
I know I’m stating the obvious, but Hurts was awful 2day and hasn’t been sharpe all season. I stated this earlier this season, was labeled a H8R. When all u look at are record/destination and not the warning signs as you go. You get tripped up. #NFLSunday #Eagles #Jets

Talking about the game, Sharpe tweeted a long message. He wrote, “I know I’m stating the obvious, but Hurts was awful 2day and hasn’t been sharpe all season. I stated this earlier this season, was labeled a H8R. When all u look at are record/destination and not the warning signs as you go. You get tripped up. #NFLSunday #Eagles #Jets.” It becomes important to point out that with one victory, the Jets have made history! This would be the Eagles’ first loss this season.

But that being said, this is not the first time Sharpe has poured his thoughts about Hurts. As can be said, Sharpe thinks Hurts “can’t throw the football well enough…”

If there is one thing that the NFL Hall of Famer Sharpe doubts, it is Jalen Hurts’ being the ‘long term solution’ for Philadelphia. Sharpe makes no mistake in dropping bombs on the table. Likewise, he has had some bits to share. It all started on FS1’s Undisputed Show when Sharpe discussed problems with the Eagles.
Talking about it, he said, “Is he the QB? Yes, that’s what he is. But I don’t believe he is the answer to what they want to do, Skip. His legs will win you games during the regular season, and he plays well enough to win you games. You might make the playoffs in the NFC East. But Skip, he can’t throw the football well enough and consistently enough, I believe to be your long-term solution.”
