Mikaela Shiffrin’s last few days have gone in a topsy-turvy mood. At first, her flamboyance helped her to register a record 58th victory in the World Cup. After that, the Alpine ski racing legend evaded a life-threatening injury in the World Cup. That incident sent a chilling tremor to her fans as her boyfriend ski legend Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is yet to regain full health after a similar incident in Eugene in January. But among all these happenings, Mikaela Shiffrin might get a favorable moment as someone from her close circle praised her for a different reason.

This time, Kristin Aamodt Kilde entered her name on the list of being thankful to Mikaela Shiffrin. The occasion hinted at the special bonding between the Aamodt Kilde family and the 2x Olympic champion share.

The Norwegian Alpine Ski racer, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, went through a “gut-wrenching fall” on January 14 in the World Cup event in Wengen. After that, the 31-year-old Norwegian faced multiple operations and unfathomable panic attacks. Those experiences kept him asking for warmth, hoping for a painless recovery. Girlfriend Mikaela Shiffrin appeared at that moment with her loving persona. So when Aleksander was taking “baby steps” toward his recovery from the last accident, mother Kristina Aamodt Kilde took a moment to thank the well-wishers on January 30. She initiated the tone with “Now, as he starts the tough journey back, his optimism and smile make our swell. Thank you all for your support and nice messages” on her IG post. Soon after that, “A very special thank to @mikaelashiffrin” popped into the sentences.

Kristina acknowledged the part of Mikaela Shiffrin and her family’s swift rush to the place on the same day after receiving the fateful news of her son’s accident. Moreover, she thanked them for “securing the quality and making sure that Aleksander was treated by the best.” That was quite evident as Aleksander himself acknowledged his lady several times for being there, albeit being engaged with her skiing contentions.
