T-minus 2 days until the 2024 Gold Over America Tour kicks off! The grand gymnastics event headlined by none other than Simone Biles will kick off at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. However, what makes the event even more special is that it will be the inaugural event for Frontwave Arena, which will serve as the home stadium for the NBA G League team, the San Diego Clippers.

“Frontwave Arena is FINALLY HERE!” posted the official Instagram handle of the venue. After three years in the making, the “@frontwavearena Kicking off with inaugural event Gold Over America with Simone Biles on September 16th and 17th!” revealed the Instagram post.

The fact that the inaugural event of their stadium will host an Olympic medalist even before the Clippers set foot inside the area is truly monumental for the G League team. The Arena has been under construction for nearly three years. However, it became the official home for the San Diego Clippers on March 11. The team announced their move to San Diego and the then-under-construction stadium as their new home.

However, the team must feel that their home stadium will host the likes of Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Brody Malone, and several other Paris 2024 medalists. The inaugural show for the 2024 Gold Over America will also be the perfect test run for the venue. The Frontwave Arena caps out at 6500 for sporting events, while for events like the one featuring Biles and Co., the maximum capacity goes up to 7600.

The venue also contains “luxurious VIP seating and lounges” with a direct view of the action. The newly constructed arena offers 16 luxury suits, 3 VIP decks, 1 premium lounge, and 1 open-air patio. Communications Relations Manager Jonathan Greene pressed pride in how the stadium was built to serve the community. “It’s more than a building for sports and entertainment,” said Greene.

Meanwhile, the Manager of Group Ticket Sales, Caitlin Teno explained that there has been nothing quite like Frontwave Arena ever built in Oceanside. So, gymnastics fans will also see if the Frontwave Arena’s claim holds water. The stadium is “specially designed to have no bad seats,” the venue claimed in their Instagram clip. Besides performing in a brand-new stadium, there’s something else that makes this kickoff special.

Simone Biles and Co. can expect a lively crowd

The Frontwave Arena will also be among the selected venues, where Simone Biles and the team will perform not twice. On August 8, the venue’s official Instagram handle announced that the Gold Over America has generated massive buzz. “By overwhelming demand, we have added a second and final show,” the Instagram page posted. However, for now, only day-one tickets are on sale.

Just like its inaugural edition, the tickets for the grand event are available on Ticketmaster.com, for all dates and venues. The VIP upgrades consisting of Diamond, Ruby, and Emerald their tickets promise multiple perks. These include everything from exclusive merch to meet-and-greet sessions with the gymnasts. However, the official Forntwave Arena website is also offering tickets on AXS.com.
