Simone Biles carved her name in gold by bringing home seven medals for the USA in gymnastics. In 2020, the USA gained prominence thanks to Suni Lee, another gold medallist gymnast. These two gymnasts could have made the US one of the strongest contenders in the Olympics.

Unfortunately, Simone Biles and Suni Lee did not perform at the world gymnastics championships held on Tuesday. It was the first time Simone Biles did not perform for the USA since 2012. The USA still turned out to be dominant and made space in the Paris Olympics 2024.
