After qualifying in the 100m Butterfly on Day 1 of meet 3 in Budapest, the entire swimming community is in the speculation whether this South African swimming star will make it to the podium this time or not?

Chad le Clos’s performances in the swimming realm 

The South African prodigy Chad le Clos has always been on the top of what he does. Since the very beginning of his career, he is known because of his extraordinary wins and performances. He makes in the list of legendary swimmers after giving a shocking performance in the 200m butterfly at London 2012. In this event, he made his way to the finals and was lined up beside the swimming sensation Michael Phelps.

Clos shocked the entire swimming community by grabbing gold from the all-time favorite Phelps in the 200m butterfly. He nabbed the win in the dying seconds and touched the wall just 0.05 seconds before the American swimmer. In July 2023, he has also won consecutive gold in the German National championships with his unbeatable performance.

He is now participating in the Swimming World Cup 2023 and has qualified for the finals on day 1 of meet 3 for the 100m Butterfly. Although it has been a rough time, but after the qualification, speculations are that he could fire up his Clos factor and attain the gold in the finals of Day 1 of meet 3. With his injury, he is trying his best to get back his fierce and stand on the podium once again of the World Cup, eyeing toward the 2024 Olympics.

Illness disturbed his balance when he was doing his best in the 2022 World Swimming Championships with outstanding performances and consecutive medals. However, currently in the 2023 World Cup, the entire swimming community is pondering about Clos nabbing gold on day 1 finals at Budapest.
