The Texas Longhorns found themselves helpless against the Kentucky Wildcats in the 2020 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship finals. They had enough problems dealing with Kentucky’s Alli Stumler who scored a match-winning 26 kills. However, the player who exacerbated their woes was Kentucky’s rookie outside hitter Madisen Skinner.

The freshman secured 19 dominating kills against the Texas Longhorns. Skinner helped Stumler shake off the impact of the first-set loss against Texas to secure a 3-1 victory. Just two years later in 2022, the golden striker transferred to the very team she defeated in 2020.
