The American competitive swimmer specializes in backstroke, and the four-time Olympic gold medalist is also the former world record holder in the men’s 100-meter backstroke. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, Murphy won a gold medal and set the world record in the 4×100-meter medley race. His backstroke relay leg broke the world record set by Aaron Piersol in 2009.

Ryan Murphy said ‘I do’ to his longtime girlfriend Bridget Konttinen on the 30th of September. The 28-year-old tied the knot at the Everline Resort & Spa in Olympic Valley near Lake Tahoe, California. The reason behind choosing this area was very thoughtful as Konttinen grew up skiing here and her father is from Finland, so this is a huge part of their lives. It was nothing less than a dreamy wedding and Murphy’s post about it on Instagram has amassed the attention of the entire internet.

He posted a series of five photos on Instagram that just made everyone gasp. The beautiful faces and the dreamy attire were something to fall for. He captioned the picture as his wedding date, “30.09.2023”. The first picture was of the mesmerizing couple, then they shared the picturesque location where the wedding took place, and it was absolutely beautiful.

The beautiful mountains and the surrounding nature were just the ideal and unique location for a wedding. The champion also chose the location considering its name, as he thought getting married in a place called ‘Olympic Valley’ would be pretty cool.
