In most workplaces, dating a coworker might land you in trouble. But in the world of elite women’s sports? It’s surprisingly common! Alyssa Thomas- DeWanna Bonner, DiJonai Carrington- NaLyssa Smith, and Courtney Vandersloot- Allie Quigley. These are some examples of teammates who ended up getting into a relationship later on in the W. And soon, it looks like we might be adding another name to that list. Not sure who we’re hinting at? Well, it’s none other than Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd!

Paige Bueckers’ “bestie” was the Women’s Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player this year, playing a key role in helping UConn secure another championship. These two were the heart and soul of the Lady Huskies. While Paige made the jump to the pros, her partner-in-crime chose to stick around for one more year in college. But their bond? It feels like there’s something deeper brewing between them than just friendship.

Azzi was seen attending Paige’s big night in the W draft. Fudd has been spotted at Wings games supporting Bueckers. Most recently, Azzi even posted a fun video dancing with freshman Kelis Fisher while wearing none other than the Wings number 5 jersey. And that’s not all. She’s also been seen wearing a necklace with the number 5 inside a heart. It’s quite clear that Azzi and Paige are almost inseparable.

Recently, Azzi took to her instagram to post a selfie of hers, while getting her hair done. but fans quickly picked up on something way more exciting! Her phone case! Sharp-eyed followers noticed the words written over her phone cover. “Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend.”

Now, this might very well be things which best friends do, but maybe it’s more than that? Did Azzi really mean to flex that phone cover or was it unintentional?

They’ve been through so much together, like injuries that kept them off the court, and always had each other’s backs, which makes their connection so special.

We know for a fact that Azzi isn’t dating anyone, the same goes for Paige as well.  Whatever it maybe, if these two are indeed dating each other, one can only wish them the best. And even if they’re not, seeing two stars support each other so openly is still a huge win for the sport. Azzi’s support has definitely been import for Paige.

Azzi Fudd, Paige Bueckers’ lucky charm?

The Wings have now won 2 consecutive games in a row for the first time this season. A huge improvement after losing 7 in a row.  They are no longer the worst team in the league. Everything seems to be clicking for them right now. And at the heart of it all? Paige Bueckers.

Since coming back from the injury, Bueckers has had 92 points in 4 games. The Dallas Wings have won two of those, including a clutch victory over the Connecticut Sun. And guess who was in the crowd for that one? Azzi Fudd, of course. Close games usually spell trouble for Dallas, a team known for collapsing late. But not this time. Maybe, Azzi is really a lucky charm for Bueckers!

Over the years, the chemistry between Fudd and Bueckers has been a delight to watch. It’s quite clear that these two are still extremely close together. Whether they’re just best friends or something more, we can’t confirm. But one thing is clear–their connection is strong, and we hope it stays that way for years to come!
