Caitlin Clark might drain threes, but on the golf course, she’s strictly a weekend player. Last year, with thousands gathered around her, Clark completely shanked a shot. It almost hit a fan as it blew close to one. An embarrassed Clark quickly apologised, drawing laughs from the crowd. Something similar happened on her 2025 return, but fortunately, it was away from the fans. Lexie Hull still put Clark’s mis-hit on display for the entire world to see.

Hull and Sophie Cunningham were the designated celebrity caddies for Clark at the event. Both arrived at the event rocking Fever gear, cheering, and advising Clark at every step. The three can be ultra competitive on the court, but on the golf course, there were plenty of laughs and giggles, especially after Clark missed a shot with Lexie Hull recording at that exact moment. Hull proceeded to poke fun at Clark via TikTok.
“The one time you video me, you can’t make it up,” Clark said as Sophie Cunningham entered the frame, laughing hysterically. The crowd was filled with laughter, too. “You guys are fake fans.” Cunningham joked in the background. To add to the fun, Hull posted this recording on her TikTok with the CBS commentator saying, “CBS proudly represents the final round of the masters.” Hull proposed that their next competition be the Masters by captioning the TikTok, “The masters is next @Caitlin Clark @S O P H I E & I can caddie 🤑”

“I’m in!” Cunningham wrote. However, Clark wasn’t too impressed with her subpar shot being Hull’s TikTok. She commented, “For sure, bud. Funny how this is the one shot you post.” Hull replied with a sly, “Best one I have.” Even Lexie Hull’s mother, Jaime Hull, jumped in on the fun later on, writing on X, @lexiehulll! Not sure if that’s being a nice friend, but it did make me giggle and smh all at the same time.” It was a hilarious, heartwarming moment between the Tres Leches, further affirming their relationship. If you thought Clark’s shot was bad, earlier Cunningham did something worse.

The caddie got a chance to hit one on the 10th. She was nervous, and even after the practice swing, Cunningham asked, “Am I doing that right?” She hit a decent one and immediately celebrated with glee. However, her smile faded quickly as the ball landed in the crowd and Clark informed her by saying, “He’s down!” She immediately ran towards him to check if he was okay.

Fortunately, he was, and Cunningham gave him the golf ball as a gift. The clip went viral on social media, and Clark laughed online, too. Reposting the clip while writing, “This is one of the greatest things I’ve seen.” The day was filled with adorable moments like these among the players. After the event, Clark revealed that if she had a chance to go toe to toe with Steph Curry in a golf and a three-point contest.

Could Caitlin Clark beat Steph Curry in golf? Her candid answer
Caitlin Clark is the Steph Curry of the WNBA. That’s a popular saying among fans because of the intense similarity in their games. Both are long-range sharpshooters and incredible passers. Now, Clark has another shared hobby as Curry is more than an avid golfer. If you ask most NBA players who the best golfer in the league is, most say it’s Steph Curry. Some said it’s Austin Reaves, but a close match between the two.
Clark was asked who would win a golf and a three-point contest between the two after the LPGA event, and she replied, “Wouldn’t even be close. He would destroy me in both.” Now, golf we can understand. Steph Curry has been an American Century Championship champion in 2023. He has recorded multiple top‑10 finishes at the American Century Championship across his appearances, consistently being one of the lowest‑handicap celebrity players. As for Clark, she is just starting by comparison.

When asked which of basketball or golf makes her more nervous, Clark said, “It’s (golf) and it’s not even remotely close. I don’t worry about basketball too much, but there is nothing like standing on a tee box and there (are) a bunch people watching you and this isn’t what you’re really good at.” When it comes to a three-point contest, it could turn out to be a close contest between Curry and Clark. She has been consistently shooting NBA-range shots over the last 6 years in college and in the WNBA. Yes, Curry will still have the advantage as the best three-point scorer in NBA history. But Clark’s talent might make things interesting.
