How rare is it to add top draft picks two years in a row? The Indiana Fever have done it twice — first with the 2023 No. 1 pick Aliyah Boston and then the 2024 No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark. Adding them changed the team’s dynamics and allowed Indy to build a roster around them. It looks like we have another team following Indy’s path.

The WNBA 2026 lottery draft results are out, and the Dallas Wings have struck gold once again. For the second year in a row, the Wings secured the No. 1 pick. With Maddy Siegrist serving as the team’s representative — and apparent good-luck charm — the Wings walked away with the top selection.
The lottery results followed the expected order of odds, with the Minnesota Lynx landing the No. 2 pick, the Seattle Storm at No. 3, the Washington Mystics at No. 4, and the Chicago Sky rounding out the top five. The league’s two expansion teams, the Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo, will select sixth and seventh.
