Indiana Fever had a tight cap space entering the training camp. Having a core of 10 players, and just a little over a 100 thousand left to spare, it was going to be a tight race between the rookies to secure that one last spot. However, after Ejim contributed 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist across 2 games in combined 11 minutes, the Fever had to make the tough call. And head coach Stephanie White admits it was easy in no way.

“This is the worst part of the job,” she said. “We always wish there were more roster spots, so that you know we could have some of those development positions. But we know it’s part of it, and it s-cks.” Although any pro team can now sign with Ejim until 48 hours of her contract being voided, only time will tell whether the rebounder will begin her pro journey this year.
