Davis was picked 11th in the 2024 draft and appeared in 20 games in her rookie season, largely watching on from the bench. The promising Arkansas athlete is back in the WNBA and has signed with the Chicago Sky on a seven-day hardship contract. Let’s look at Davis’ background as she tries to make her mark at the highest level.

Who is Marquesha Davis’ mother?

Davis was born on May 29, 2001, to LaTonya Davis and grew up in the small town of McGehee, Arkansas. Her mother has supported Davis in her journey from Springdale High School to the WNBA. As a two-way guard, Marquesha will provide important depth for this Chicago Sky team that needs help at that position. Marquesha appeared in 29 games across two seasons with New York, totaling 32 points and 15 rebounds, including a title. While she did not have significant playing time, her experience in a title-winning team will certainly prove useful in her development and what she brings to this side. And who knows, this 7-day Hardship contract could lead to bigger things.
