“We just said that you just keep working, just keep working,” head coach Sandy Brondello said of Marquesha Davis after the NewYork Liberty waived the youngster in July 2025 after 9 games in the Liberty shirt. Davis was picked 11th in the 2024 draft and appeared in 20 games in her rookie season, largely watching on from the bench. The promising Arkansas athlete is back in the WNBA and has signed with the Chicago Sky on a seven-day hardship contract. Davis was born on May 29, 2001, to LaTonya Davis and grew up in the small town of McGehee, Arkansas. Her mother has supported Davis in her journey from Springdale High School to the WNBA.
