While she came onto the tennis scene with a different coach, Sabalenka is currently coached by Anton Dubrov. He is the son of the legendary Belarusian coach Eduard Dubrov. Anton Dubrov first started out as a professional player on the ITF circuit. He began his journey in tennis at the tender age of five and fell in love with the sport.
Dubrov worked as Sabalenka’s hitting partner for a long time before he eventually became her head coach in 2020. Under his tutelage, the Belarusian managed to win four WTA titles in the first year and wanted Dubrov to remain as her coach. Her performance improved immensely with Dubrov’s guidance and she managed to reach rank 2 by the end of 2021 and eventually won her first single’s Grand Slam title at Melbourne this year.

Although the two have had a great time together, there was a moment when they were about to go their separate ways.
The time when Sabalenka’s coach wanted to quit
At the beginning of 2022, Sabalenka encountered a problem with her serve. While she and her team attempted to fix it, they were having difficulty finding a proper technique. In February, Dubrov admitted to Sabalenka that he should quit while he was ahead as he couldn’t help her out. However, the world number 2 insisted he stay as her coach.
The two found a way to solve the issues Sabalenka had, and eventually, they went on to win the Australian Open.

Before Dubrov, Sabalenka worked with three coaches. When she started her WTA journey, she worked with Khalil Ibrahimov until 2018. After him, Dmitry Tursunov became her head coach. Under his guidance, she won five WTA titles, including three WTA 1000 titles.
Eventually, the two splits prior to the 2022 US Open and Sabalenka moved on to working with Dieter Kindlmann, a German coach. Kindlmann became the coach of Sabalenka after his stint with Madison Keys. However, Kindlmann was only with Sabalenka for three weeks before she eventually moved on to Anton Dubrov.
