Venus Williams visits an underground wine cellar

The 7-time grand slam champion posted a reel on her official Instagram handle, where she was seen taking a tour of the Caves du Louvre in Paris. Further, the caption read, “We’re going to continue our tour of Paris at the Caves Du Louvre, an underground wine cellar built by Trudon, the sommelier of Louis XV, in his cellar.”

Caves du Louvre was built in the 18th century. It was once a royal wine cellar. Trudon ordered the construction of this cellar. Subsequently, he established a wine supply business here. History suggests that the wine was supplied to the Louvre Palace in complete secrecy through a network of tunnels. Recently, the Caves du Louvre has undergone renovation and has been open to the public since.
