However, British journalist Tom Bower claimed that Serena Williams denied being friends with Markle. He claimed that she was just an “acquaintance” of Williams.

However, all such rumors came to an end when Williams was featured in the first episode of Archetypes. Eventually, Bower’s false claims put him under scrutiny by Markle’s fans.
