After winning the first round, she is now ready to move on further in the tournament. While she is playing one tournament after another, there is a rising tennis star, Raducanu, who has been out of the tennis circuit for a few months now owing to her injuries.

And recently, during the first round press conference of the tournament, Gauff was asked about the 20-year-old tennis player’s recent developments. Gauff talked about how Radacanu’s three surgeries are a lot to deal with. And while she has not experienced any kind of injuries like that, she detailed that facing these kinds of issues isn’t an easy task.

She said, “Yeah, I mean, three surgeries is crazy. That maybe could have played a role. I don’t know like her situation, but I definitely have a lot of empathy for her. I sent her well wishes privately and publicly.”
