Naomi Osaka has overcome all odds to become one of the top female players playing the game currently. The Japanese tennis sensation has had troubles related to her mental health but has dealt with those strongly. Since turning professional in 2013 at the age of 16, Osaka has won several laurels and titles.

Osaka is a four-time Grand Slam champion, winning the Australian Open and the US Open twice. Additionally, she has won a couple of WTA 1000 tournaments. She attained the top spot in the WTA rankings following her Australian Open victory in 2019. Recently, the Japanese star shared some adorable pictures of her dog on social media.

Naomi Osaka has an Instagram account for her dog

The 24-year-old had adopted the French bulldog last year. She named the dog ‘Butta’. She has created an Instagram account of her bulldog, where she posts adorable pictures of the dog.

Yesterday, she posted another picture carrying Butta in her arms. The caption read, “Man my mom is annoying.”

Further, a user commented on the post, saying, “Naomi it’s very hard for me to believe Butta ran those stairs with you. Did you carry him up and down? Cause that, I would believe.” Osaka replied to the comment and said, “no he actually runs. It’s unbelievable when we researched his breed it said that French bulldogs typically aren’t outside for more than 15min, I once ran for 50min and he was right next to me the entire time.”

Osaka’s 2022 season

On unexpected lines, the 4-time Grand Slam champion is having a rather dull season so far. She opened her campaign this year at the Melbourne Summer Set 1. However, she had to withdraw from the tournament after the quarterfinal due to an abdominal injury.

Further, at the Australian Open, she bowed out of the tournament in the third round. Osaka lost to Amanda Anisimova of the USA in a three-set thriller, putting an end to the hope of defending her title.
