She captioned her Instagram story, “I got a pet fish for the first time in my life. It died in a cabinet because I couldn’t set up the aquarium fast enough. Rip out his sucks.”

Naomi and Mari Osaka developed a close bond both on and off the tennis court as they practiced together throughout their childhood. When they were younger, it appears that Naomi’s older sister frequently outperformed her in games. Naomi had reportedly admitted to The New York Times that her older sister had been bagel-ing her in her childhood tennis matches.

In January 2021, Mari last participated in an ITF competition, and she never reached the top 250. Currently, Naomi is aiding Mari in achieving her goals now that she is pursuing a career in fashion design.
