Patrick Mouratoglou about his father’s views

The feeling of making one’s parent proud is a precious one, and the Frenchman has achieved it. In a 2019 interview, Mouratoglou spoke about his father’s perception of his work. He said, “I think first of all you should ask him (but) he’s saying he’s proud, so he probably is.”

“He’s always telling me, ‘Oh, I was with the Prime Minister of Greece, for business, and the guy talks to me only about you, about [Stefanos] Tsitsipas.’ Maybe before it was about Serena,” he added. Patrick’s father, Paris Mouratoglou, is of Greek origin and he moved to France at the age of 13. Paris is a renowned businessman and former chairman of the energy company EDF Énergies Nouvelles.

Further, he added, “Sport is far from his world. So it’s easier to be impressed when you don’t know anything about it. It’s funny because besides his job, which is his No. 1 passion, the two things he likes is tennis and music. My brother is a musician and I’m in tennis. He can be happy.”
