28-year-old Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard has been working hard to make her come back to the tour since last December. After suffering a shoulder injury last year, she had to undergo surgery in June. Since then, her journey has not been easy, as she is trying her best to get back to full fitness before making her eventual return.

Recently, she posted a new workout video on her social media, where we saw her having an intense gym session.

Earlier, the Canadian player took to Instagram and posted a video of her leg workouts and in the caption, she wrote, “Leg day.”

Last December, she posted on her social media about touching a tennis racket for the first time since undergoing the surgery. Since then, she played some exhibition matches with Sofia Kenin and Alison Riske, and others.

Later, she was scheduled to appear in many tournaments. However, she couldn’t, as she did not have the full fitness to compete in a tour-level match. Moreover, she talked about returning to the French Open this year. However, she did not enter her name. Now, she is eying to enter Wimbledon this year with a wildcard.

Bouchard’s success at Wimbledon 2014

Speaking of Wimbledon, Bouchard rose to the limelight in 2014 after reaching the finals of the Wimbledon that same year. Although she lost the final, the WTA tour had a new star. In many interviews, she talked about not being able to watch that Wimbledon final because it was too painful for her. Notably, Czech player Petra Kvitova dominated the Canadian from start to finish in the final.

In many ways, 2014 was her most successful year on the tour. Before reaching the Wimbledon final, she also reached the semi-final of the Australian Open and the French Open in the same year. Unfortunately, many untimely injuries have stalled her progress. Now, with her imminent comeback to the tour on the horizon, t remains to be seen whether she will be able to emulate her 2014 form.
