‘When I Break a String’ – Simona Halep Contents With Slight Mishap During Her Intense Training With Serena Williams’ Ex-coach

Former World no.1 Simona Halep has been struggling t0 find her form in the season, so far. After a lot of changes to her coaching unit, she finally appointed Serena Williams’ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. Since then, there has been a few minor improvement in her game.
Recently, she posted a few videos of her training sessions with the French coach, as she was sweating it out heavily trying to improve her game. However, there is always some light moment during intense training sessions; as she did find a funny incident that made her smile.

Simona Halep found it funny when she broke a string
Earlier, the 2-time Grand Slam champion Simona Halep posted various stories on her Instagram account. In one of her stories, she posted a photo where she broke the strings of her tennis racket. In a weird way, this incident made Simona smile, as she wrote in the story, “My smile when I break a string…”

Can Simona repeat her 2018 French Open heroics this year?
Recently, Simona opened up about her first Grand Slam win at the French Open in 2018. As per Simona, Roland Garros is her favorite Grand Slam tournament out of all three. “I will always have great memories of my Roland-Garros title at in 2018 because it was my first grand slam, and I had always dreamed of winning. Roland-Garros is my favorite tournament and I always feel great when I go there,” Simona recently spoke in an interview.

Notably, in 2018, Simona’s coach was Darren Cahill, when she won her first Grand Slam at the French Open after beating Sloane Stephens in the final. After splitting with Cahill last year, Simona tried many coaches, and finally, she settled with Mouratoglou. The pair played two tournaments so far, and those were the Madrid Open and the Italian Open. In both tournaments, Simona was still struggling with her form. She reached the quarter-final at the Madrid Open and lost in the round of 32 in Rome. Right now, she is hoping to get her rhythm back at the French Open; her favorite tournament.
