But when it comes to his daughters, especially Olympia, his love takes center stage—and it’s a show everyone loves to watch. This time, Serena Williams’ husband is winning hearts yet again as he gave fans a sneak peek into his sporting life. And no, it’s not about tennis! It seems Ohanian is rekindling his passion for sports, but with a twist—it’s all about bonding with Olympia.

The 41-year-old took to his X as he engaged in Part 19th of the “Ask Alexis” Series. When quizzed by a fan if the Reddit co-founder himself ever played sports, Ohanian shared an honest take as he revealed the immense passion he had for not just one, but many sports. “I did play sports growing up. A lot of soccer basically,” Ohanian said. However, he added that he had to face some restrictions in the beginning.

“My parents wouldn’t let me play football until high school, which is really what I wanted to play. So I finally played American football when I got to high school. I played basketball. I was not very good, Six foot five (inches), wasted height. I never played tennis, I am learning golf now, and I’m really loving it.” Interestingly, what caught the attention further was his admission about his daughter, as he tried to highlight Olympia’s athletic prowess. 

Captioning the post, the ‘Business Dad’ wrote, “I’m just trying to learn enough golf to keep up with my 7 year old 🏌️‍♂️” signifying the giant strides that Olympia has made in golf. Just like her father, Olympia too seems to be navigating the world of sports. From learning tennis from her legendary mother Serena Williams, to attending golfing sessions with her father, the 7-year-old has definitely turned heads. And notably, this is not the first time when Olympia’s golfing skills have come to light.

Earlier this month, Ohanian took to his Instagram story and shared a post by Black Active Golf in which Olympia was seen hitting some amazing golf shots. Like any other proud dad, Ohanian was in complete awe of his young daughter as he shared words of admiration for the little star. “So proud of this girl @olympiaohanian,” he wrote. Interestingly, in one of the earlier stories, he shared a picture of himself as well where he seemingly compared his skills to that of his daughter.

Ohanian was seen trying to take a stance and fire a shot. Captioning it, he wrote, “At least the view is nice,” highlighting he has yet to learn many things. However, despite Olympia amping up her golfing skills, her interests are not limited, just like her father. But guess what? Ohanian is all geared up to support his daughter in everything she wishes to pursue.

When Alexis Ohanian revealed Olympia’s varied interests

Being the daughter of Serena Williams, one would assume that she wishes to take up tennis in life. But with various interests and passions, a growing kid needs a stolid backer and Alexis Ohanian is just that for his daughter. But guess what? Olympia’s interests are not just limited to sports!

When a user questioned Olympia’s sporting interests, Ohanian shared that he is motivated to back her in whatever she chooses. “Whatever sports Jr wants to play! Here for it,” he wrote. And this support was clearly visible when Olympia accompanied her dad to the Athlos NYC event and was seen running on the tracks on the sidelines of events.  Olympia has also shown an interest in soccer in the past. But besides her athletic skills, Olympia is also a fashion buff, just like her mother, Serena Williams.

“She’ll set up before bed what we need to wear in the morning. And she says, ‘Blue shirt, blue shirt, blue shirt.’ And then she goes, ‘Mama wear this or these shoes.’ She always tells me to [wear] heels,” Serena Williams once shared about her daughter. Now, as time evolves, it will be interesting to what Olympia eventually chooses to pursue in her life. But one thing is clear: her parents will be there to support her throughout, irrespective of her decisions.
