While a large part of viewers expressed their surprise at her answer, another part laughed off the hilarious way in which Serena said it. Also laughing out loud at Serena’s answer, Venus further said, “Wow!! You could even fake it?”

“I tried. But you know, I’m honest. I’m maybe too honest. I don’t miss it,” replied Serena. “I do miss it when I’m there. But I’m not there so I don’t miss it,” she further added.

Staying out of the tour for a couple of months, Serena made a comeback at the WTA 250 Lexington Open in August 2020, reaching the quarterfinals.
