Current AEW Star Explains How an Unintentional Act From Triple H Led to Her Main Roster Call Up – “She Could Make Us Money”

Triple H, the chief content officer of WWE is currently running the entire creative department of the company. Before this, he was the main force behind recruiting young talents for Vince McMahon‘s empire. Several current wrestling stars have revealed that ‘The Game’ played quite a crucial role when they were carving their niche in the wrestling industry.

And now, another big name in the professional wrestling world has joined this list. Lately, the current AEW and former WWE superstar Saraya (fka Paige) pulled the drapes off from the fact that during her training days in the WWE, it was Triple H who unknowingly helped her to debut on the main roster.

Recently the AEW star Saraya came on ‘The Mark Hoke Show’ as a special guest. There she talked about several incidents of her career while she was in WWE. The highlight of the podcast was when she revealed how the WWE CCO Triple H unintentionally helped her to get to the main roster.

Saraya said that during NXT, Triple H designed a t-shirt for her and that instantly went out of stock in the WWE shop. She further explained that this made officials think that she could be a good asset for Monday Night Raw and hence she got the opportunity.

Talking about Triple H, Saraya said, “My (NXT) t-shirt got released, which was the ‘Think Again’ t-shirt that Triple H had made for me. And, it sold out instantly. Like that. It’s sold out so I think they were just like, ‘Oh, she could make us money,’ and so they were like, ‘Let’s bring her up on the main roster.’”

Not only this but the former WWE Divas champion also opened up about her unique gimmick. She explained how her gimmick also added a plus point to her wrestling resume.

Further in the podcast, Saraya revealed that the WWE creative liked her unique style a lot. She also said that at that time, she was the only woman in the NXT who used to wear black gear.

She mentioned that she is happy that now several other female wrestlers are also opting for that kind of persona. Saraya holds several records in the WWE. She won the Divas Championship on her main roster debut. She was also the youngest WWE Divas title holder.

Currently, Saraya is working in Tony Khan’s AEW. She joined AEW after leaving WWE because the company’s policy didn’t allow her to wrestle due to her neck injury. Fans last saw her inside the ring in April 2023 and fans are eagerly waiting to see her in a main feud.

Saraya was quite young when she joined WWE. She was also one of those first wrestlers who worked in NXT under the leadership of Triple H. So it would not be a lie if we say that, she is also among those stars whom ‘The Game’ helped to achieve a good spot in the professional wrestling industry.
