As Cody Rhodes see-sawed between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for a match at WrestleMania, fans were left confused. But Rhodes’ story has broken the forbidden doors as even AEW superstars seem to be invested in it, especially after the slap from Dwayne Johnson.

Thunder Rosa shares her opinion on Cody Rhodes’ story

AEW superstar Thunder Rosa was recently invited on the Busted Open Podcast where she talked about the recent developments en route to WrestleMania XL. While she discussed many things with Dave LaGreca, during one of the segments in the podcast, she expressed her opinions on the recent WrestleMania kick-off press conference held on Thursday at T-Mobile Arena. The podcast was premiered on YouTube on February 10th.

As the echoes of The Rock’s slaps reached the doors of AEW, Rosa felt that Rhodes deserved to win after the insult. She said, “Then they smack Cody again without the opportunity for Cody to retaliate. Why? Because we have to continue the story. I just hope, I really do hope that there is a good payoff for both of them. As a performer, when you have to do certain things to make other people look good that will make your character gonna diminish, it’s rough because you like suffer from a lot of criticism from the fans.”

Though AEW superstars do not talk openly about WWE superstars, Cody Rhodes was a former AEW superstar who was also one of the founding members of the promotion. The moment in reference happened during the final stages of the conference when The Rock sided with Roman Reigns showing allegiance to his bloodline.

WWE fans get what they wanted

Now fans will have their highly anticipated match as Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes will once again take on Roman Reigns in an attempt to complete the story. Meanwhile, The Rock might be acting as the support for The Tribal Chief and perhaps this is what WWE fans wanted.

Thunder Rosa understands and even acknowledges WWE’s story-telling ability. She further said, “And I mean again, if this is their reaction that WWE wanted, they got it, they got it.” WWE now has the fans at their fingertips.
